Equality Objectives 2018/2019

Burnage Academy for Boys has identified the following specific equality objectives for the school year 2018-19:

  • To improve the cultural development and understanding of our pupils through a new range of SMSC experiences both in and beyond the school.
  • To continue to close the gaps in attainment and progress between students and groups of students, especially disadvantaged students, students with Special Educational Needs, Looked After Children and students from different heritage groups.
  • To promote empathy in relation to people from different backgrounds through our work in school.

Our progress against these goals will be reported in our School Self-Assessment Form.
