We’re delighted to announce that for the second year in a row, we have been shortlisted for a prize at the prestigious Educate North Awards! The awards celebrate, recognise and share best practice and excellence in the education sector in the North.

We have been nominated for the Mental Health and Wellbeing Award for our universal approach to the topic. This means that we consider wellbeing in everything that we do – be that support for those who need it, educating all pupils on mental health, working closely with families, and supporting staff with their own mental health.

“As a school we have worked incredibly hard to establish our whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing. We are delighted that our hard work has been recognised,” said Ms Doyle, who is responsible for mental health and wellbeing through her role as Associate Assistant Headteacher.

“We would also like to thank our mental health practitioners who help support our young people, including CAMHS Thrive in Education, Manchester Mind and The Growing Room.”
